This all originally started from the First Class Network CAVE, which is run by mastermind "Sunao Inami". We knew about one another through the community in Osaka, via a text based BBS forum. We sort of worked together in a different unit, which implied future possibility to work as a group.
So this is the composition that has been born. We think of it as"TIME CONTROL", a kind of direction of consiouseness. Actually, even though we knew one another already on the net, we met for the first time at our first recording, (Of course we already had some experience in sessions individually.) TIME CONTROL is of course not only the title of this album but also our group name, and you could say it is our concept that we, as composers, build on in these tracks. This may be too wordy, but we want to give a kind of come down after releasing the chaotic feelings that are the result of the mixture of every element in a relative relationship, for example, in inorganic and organic substances, acceleration and deceleration, hot and cold, floating feeling and fixed feeling, hard and soft, and also direct time space, our name itself, and winding time space. The first album was based on the live recording at Barton Hall in Kobe, where the group gathers. We believe you will enjoy not only the direct live atmosphere but also the other energies emerging from what we mixed afterward. |

MOMO Born in Osaka. He enjoyed synthesizers a great deal and became a synthesizer programmer. He also is a member of another band and participates in recording sessions. Other than TIME CONTROL, he is a member of Ambient7 and Wataru Kamiryo unit. He is also involved in sessions with Audio Sports Aki Onda, Love Sound System, Rosso, and Hajime Fukuma. Sunao Inami Started his own band CONTROLLED VOLTAGE in 1990 and has been in action mostly in the Kansai area. Performs live concert with full usage of Amiga CG. Works as an administorater of Kansai's biggest and First Class Site "CAVE". Released 5 CDs/CD-ROMs with other members who got to know one another through the net. Has a variety of experiences in sessions with Yoshihiro Kawasaki, HACO, Kenji Konishi, Dr. Utsunomia, and Tsuzumi player,Shunichiro Hisada. Worked as a mixer for Masahiro Miwa. Has done improvised collaboration with dancers to work together. Has vast range of activities including compilation CD and participating Lopper's Delight Vol.2. Mostly works at his CAVE Studio run by himself. Msato Kawatani Has his own band "PROSPERO" which focuses on more dramatic elements, and includes a pantomimer. While performing together with CONTROLLED VOLTAGE, they found a kindred spirit in themselves and started playing together with Sunao. Collaborated in Sunao's unit ZEN, with dancers. Shinya Graphic designer. 21 years old, punk rocker. All the members live seperately in Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe and Kyoto. We work through internet (Mail, Midi file, Real Audio etc) When recording, we check demo tracks on Real Audio first and when we are satisfied, we go on to the next step by sending ADATs to one another. |
